UPDATED NUTRITIONAL ANALYSIS FOR BARLEY, WHEAT, OATS, ALFALFA, RYE GRASS, MILLET, AND SORGHUM IN COMMENTS.

SPROUTED FODDER CHAT!
This topic comes up all the time in this group.. So let’s get it all out there!
Basically sprouted fodder is grains – commonly wheat, barley, oats or black oil sunflower seeds – that are sprouted and allowed to grow for 7-10 days, until just before they have grown their second leaves. Sprouting amplifies the nutrients in the grains nearly six fold and increases their digestibility, so you get more bang for your buck so to speak. Feeding fodder to supplement your chickens’ layer feed results in reduced feed costs, better tasting eggs with more vibrant yolks, better laying productivity and improved health.
