I primarily have Jumbo browns for regular layers and several feather color variants of blue layers (celadon carriers). Once I rebuild my pearl flock I will have them available as well
I generally hatch every other week during the warmer months and will not always have every color or age range in stock. My birds are kept in a shed during the winter so they are not used to temps below freezing. Please keep this in mind if you are wanting to get birds from me in the cold months! Feel free to contact me and I can let you know when I plan to have certain colors. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
I will be hatching very limited amounts over the winter. If you are interested in chicks or eggs feel free to message me to see what’s available. I would be happy to incubate a batch for you if I’m in between hatches *see below
— I try to give discounts on larger purchases —
I can hatch by request as well, but would require 1/3 of the cost up front (non-refundable) if it’s an extra hatch outside of my regular hatches.
Examples:
– you’d like 75 chicks to be picked up within a week of hatch so it would be $18.75 for me to put the eggs in the incubator (non-refundable) with a balance of $37.50 at pickup
– you’d like 25 birds to be picked up between 2-3 weeks of age so it would $12.50 for me to put the eggs in the incubator with a balance of 25 at pickup

Coturnix Quail
–The Coturnix will hatch in 18 days, reaches maturity in 7 weeks, and will lay almost an egg per day. Quail eggs contain 6x Vitamin B1, 15x Vitamin B2 than chicken eggs, and contain good cholesterols call high-density lipoproteins, which actually reduce the risk of heart attack. A single quail can be slaughtered and field-dressed in minutes. Plus, they’re quiet and don’t require much space. As someone who already keeps chicken for eggs, and is interested in raising for meat as well, the Coturnix sounds like the perfect bird. (Excerpt from http://modernsettlers.com/books/coturnix-revolution/ )

Japanese coturnix quail – I currently have the Jumbos available in Pharaoh only. I also have pastels, silvers and various tuxedos from my Celedon line (blue egg layer). I am also working on adding Pearl (white/black). I will get pics of each color up in the near future.
***As an average on my jumbo line breeding stock my males generally weigh between 315-330g (11oz) and my females are pushing closer to 360-400g (12-14oz). This is not a guaranteed weight range of offspring however most will be on the bigger size.
I am participating in the NPIP program. My flock has tested clean per the State of IL testing procedures. IL#1376
